About Wroxham & Hoveton

Wroxham and Hoveton, two villages separated by the River Bure, are united by an arched bridge, and operate in many ways as one village of something over 3,000 people. Norwich is 8 miles away, linked by road, rail and bus services.

Wroxham is known as 'the capital of the Broads', being the most important centre for the Broads tourist industry, providing shopping, boat hire and building and chandlery. Our famous village store 'Roys of Wroxham' claims to be the largest village store in the world, selling everything from food to DIY to toys to crockery - but is actually based in Hoveton, rather than Wroxham!

There is a Primary School and a Secondary School in the village, medical and dental facilities, a library, and other amenities.
